Kazan Wagyu Beef Sirloin Steak A5

Hi there I was a bit disappointed with the quality of sirloin I was sent, I paid for mbs7+ these were no way near, I’ve seen mbs 5 cuts with more marbling. The steaks sent out didn’t even have an mbs rating on the packaging, nothing showing the quality. I emailed and attached photos of your mbs7 steak advertising vs the cuts I got and they look nothing alike.

Good beefy taste. Texture was ok but marbling didn’t meet up to the score they’d given themselves.
I think kiwi wagyu companies need to have a good hard look at how countries like Australia are grading their wagyu.
You can’t give it the highest marble score just because it’s the best you currently have. This was graded 7+ but this would have been a 5 at best.
No fault at all of Chop but I think butchers and suppliers need to push back more on the producers that give unreasonable gradings to their product.
